STARBITE ART:
A WEBSITE
The challenge was intimidating - design a website that doesn’t get in the way of spectacular art.

overhauling the design
As a foundation I stripped the site down to it's most basic functions and established the needs of the artist and their target audience- including fellow and aspiring artists, fans, and potential clients.
I also sought stakeholder input for what they felt their site was missing - and how they hoped it would look and feel.
initial research
I developed personas for the two user types I identified, outlined a user journey, and carried out a competitive audit. This gave me the baseline data to determine the users' goals and what my design needed to achieve for them. Ultimately, users wanted explorable content, purchasable merchandise, and a way to contact the artist.
wireframing
With the user's values and needs established, I used paper wireframes to efficiently explore different layout and function ideas. I then made digital wireframes using Figma to build on the initial designs.
